Working to his client's own tastes and individual requirements, each hand made piece is fashioned using high quality craftsmanship and tools. Paul is keen to work with his clients to produce a design and a finished piece of handmade furniture that reflects their individuality and fits elegantly with it's surroundings.

Although based in the heart of the Lake District, Paul is also keen to accept commissions from further afield in Cumbria and North Lancashire, including Kendal, Keswick and Lancaster.

Why doesn't Paul work further afield? He would consider it if only there weren't too many miles of travelling involved in the process of design and commissioning. To understand where the piece of furniture will be placed within the home and how it will fit in with its environment, he needs to visit in person as part of the design process. Sometimes, large pieces of furniture need to be built in situ. Other times they have to match other pieces that photographs do not do justice to.

Perfection is worth taking time over and also taking the trouble to build relationship as well as furniture!

If this sounds like a relationship you would like to have with your furniture craftsman, please don't hesitate to contact Paul Martyn directly.

Please browse through Paul Martyn's Portfolio to get some idea of the range of wooden furniture that he has most enjoyed working on over the last few years. Each one of these brings back memories of a relationship between craftsman and owner that was forged with care and respect.

As you will see, every piece is a labour of love that results in a priceless individual artefact the owner can feel proud to live with for a lifetime and then pass down to future generations of the family.
